What you agree to when you publish on Demirhane.
VERSION 2026-09-29 · APPLIES TO EVERY ACCOUNT AND EVERY PUBLICATION
1. Who we are
Demirhane Sound is an independent music platform based in İzmir, Türkiye, documenting the independent scene. It publishes editorial work of its own and hosts material published directly by artists. Reach us at demirhanesound@gmail.com.
2. Accounts
Access is by invitation. You request access, we review the request, and if it is approved you receive an invitation link. One account belongs to one person. You are responsible for what is published from your account and for the address it signs in with — there is no password to lose, so whoever can read that inbox can use the account.
An account acts on behalf of an artist only when that connection has been verified by us, either because we created the profile from your request or because you claimed an existing profile and we confirmed it.
The rules below are why an account can be blocked. Read them before you publish, not after.
3. What you may publish
Only material you made, or material you have the right to publish. Photographs, artwork, recordings and text all count. If someone else took the photo, you need their permission to put it here, and we will credit them if you tell us who they are.
4. No AI-generated music or artwork
We do not support music or cover art made with generative AI. This platform exists to document people who make things. We reserve the right to decline to publish, and to remove after publication, any material we judge to have been generated by AI.
Tools that assist a human performance — amplifiers, plugins, mixing and mastering software, stem separation, noise reduction, upscaling — are not what this rule is about. The rule is about material where the music or the image itself was produced by a generative model rather than by a person.
If we are unsure, we will ask you before we act.
5. Copyright
We reserve the right to remove or block publications that infringe the copyright of other artists or creators. That includes recordings, artwork, photography, video and text.
If something published here is yours and was posted without your permission, write to demirhanesound@gmail.com with a link to the page and to your own copy of the work. We will take it down while we look into it.
6. What must not appear here
We reserve the right to remove or block material that is obscene or pornographic, or that contains hate speech, harassment, racist statements, or any other extremist expression.
Two things this does not mean. It does not mean we sanitise the scene: this is heavy music, and violent imagery, profanity and confrontational artwork are part of it. It also does not become permission — the line is drawn at material that targets people, not at material that is loud or ugly.
7. Moderation
An artist profile is reviewed once, before its first publication. After that your own edits appear straight away. Releases, events and updates go through review each time they are submitted.
We may unpublish anything, block a publication, or block an account. Blocking an account also removes its artists and its publications from every public page. Where a decision is ours rather than obvious, we will say why. You can reply to that decision at the address above.
8. Who owns what
What you publish stays yours. By publishing it here you allow us to display it on Demirhane and to use the title, the cover image and a short extract to point to it — on the site itself and when we announce it on our own channels. Nothing more: we do not license your work to anyone else and we do not sell it.
Editorial articles, photography and design produced by Demirhane are ours. Ask before republishing them.
9. Ending it
You can ask us to close your account and remove your material at any time, at demirhanesound@gmail.com. We may close an account that breaks these rules. Editorial work we wrote about an artist stays up — it is our own writing — unless there is a reason to take it down.
10. Changes
When these rules change in a way that matters, the version above changes with them and you will be asked to accept the new one. Small corrections will not interrupt you.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye. Nothing here removes a right you have under consumer or data-protection law that cannot be signed away.
